The second Secretary-General of the United Nations was known and admired as a peacemaker, but Dag Hammarskjöld concealed a remarkably intense inner life that he recorded over several decades in a journal of poems and spiritual reflections which reveal  him also as a mystic. In this anniversary year of The Cove in which we celebrate and seek to become peacemakers ourselves, we will consider the life and times of this authentic servant leader, peacemaker, and modern-day mystic.
