Within and Among Us: Making Peace and the Daily Work of Meditation

The great social and psychological distress,  violence, and division of modern society call for a radical change of mind, a conversion of heart, a new and deeper contemplative response. In a workshop that will include  both meditation and teaching, Father Laurence Freeman, OSB  will explore the human condition as illuminated by the  experience of meditation,  the ever present  way of wisdom that renews hope and leads to deeper harmony with all creation. Each human being, whatever his or her circumstances, is called to a contemplative peace, and is capable of it.  Meditation, the prayer of the heart,  radically changes the one who meditates,  and so, little by little,  but deeply, changes the world.
