Meet Patricia Speier
Patricia Speier received her Master of Arts degree from Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas and then pursued her Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology. Speier also studied spirituality at the Pecos Benedictine Monastery in New Mexico as well as learning alongside Ken Wilber at Integral Spirituality. In an effort to better understand mindfulness and the blending of Western psychology with Eastern enlightenment, Speier has practiced Big Mind work with Genpo Merzel Roshi— Zen teacher and creator of Big Mind/Big Heart. She is passionate about guiding people into deeper spiritual awareness. She believes this is necessary in order to live as a more complete human, able to fully engage in your understanding of your true self and the world around you. Speier currently teaches courses in spiritual direction for the Center of Christian Ministry and Vocation at Seminary of the Southwest. Along with her position as the Executive Director at Seton Cove, Speier is a writer and poet, certified Enneagram Instructor, and SQ21 Spiritual Intelligence Coach. Speier teaches that the better you understand your true self and the more you practice mindfulness, the deeper connection you will have the Great Mystery of the Divine. As you experience a meaningful spiritual transformation, you will transform your leadership, your relationships with others, and your relationship with yourself. This is the heart behind many of the programs offered at Seton Cove, particularly the Mystic Heart Wisdom School.
