Healing the Brain: Say Goodbye to Depression, Anxiety, Brain Fog & Cognitive Decline (Without Medication)

Join Dr. Keith Kesler and Davida Dragon for a round table discussion about Cognitive Health and a psychiatric Functional Medicine Approach to health and wellness. In this discussion we will address nutrition and its effect on intestinal micro flora (micro biome) specifically as it pertains to mental health. We will look at the ways imbalance in core nutrition can contribute to emotions and behaviors that become pathologized or masquerade as illness or disease processes. Additionally, by examining and identifying sources of chronic inflammation we will demonstrate how to minimize the effects of chronic long-term inflammation and highlight the role of our micro biome as central to the development of strong cognitive function and balanced mental health. With this understanding we will look at the links between the gut and the brain, and explore the ways diet and lifestyle change can become core treatment modalities.
