Journaling Your Way to "What's Next"

Got a pen and paper? Then you have what it takes to "write your way" to a better tomorrow through journal writing! An ancient tradition that dates back to at least 10th century Japan, journaling is a practice that allows one to explore and enhance a variety of areas, ranging from self-awareness and therapeutic healing, to spiritual growth, personal creativity and even just plain old fashioned life productivity. 

The well-being and health benefits of journal writing are well documented by science. In fact, James Pennebaker, a psychologist and researcher at the University of Texas at Austin contends that regular journaling strengthens immune cells, called T-lymphocytes. 

Join us for this "journal writing sampler session" where we'll explore the art and science behind this highly-accessible practice, as well as enjoy a variety of hands-on exercises to introduce you to different types of journal writing and their benefits.
