Mindful Reading: A Primer on How to Integrate Mindfulness Practice into You Reading Life

“Books encourage ‘deep reading’ in which the reader draws connections to other parts of the material, finds applications to the outside world, and asks questions about the content presented... all while promoting empathy, social perception, and emotional intelligence, which are cognitive processes that lead to better relationships and even a longer life.” —Sarah Ditim, PhD

Studies show that mindfulness can strengthen our compassion and other studies support the notion that reading poetry and literature increase our compassion muscles. Ginny Agnew is-in her words-prepared to lead a Pilates of Compassion through literature training session. Please join her.
