Building Resilience in Uncertain Times with Mindfulness and Heart Practices
With Geeta Cowlagi
There have not been such uncertain times as these in recent history. For many of us, a range of emotions have ebbed and flowed over our hearts and minds. Feeling fatigue, fear and anxiety are normal protective reactions to what we all have gone through. Yet, this long term chronic stress can take a heavy toll on our minds, bodies and hearts.
This training invites you to cultivate stress resilience using neuroscience and the practices of mindfulness and compassion. It is a training to strengthen your mind-heart muscle to help you to make kinder and wiser choices towards self-care and care of your extended communities. We learn to meet the present moment with understanding instead of judgment. Resilience is built by cultivating compassionate and wise courage to turn towards our stress instead of avoiding it.
When we are caught in the cycles of long term fight and flight, we deplete ourselves. This training will offer another path to calm, connect and befriend whatever is happening with wisdom. That is a path of growth, strength and care.
