Join 7th Degree Black Belt, Pete Papachristou, for a hands-on and experiential exploration of the spiritual gifts inherent in the Martial Arts. This four-part series will introduce participants to the spiritual philosophy and foundational concepts of Karate, while focusing on physical practice, form, and self-defense. Through training as well as meditation, participants will be guided in a process of deepening self-discovery, self-disciple, knowledge, and growth while learning practical self-defense and personal safety techniques suitable for real-life application.

Pete Papachristou, began his Martial Arts training over 45 years ago and went on to become an undefeated full-contact competitor. He is the owner and operator of the Kaizen Self-Defense Training System and an expert in personal protection and conflict management. He has performed hundreds of seminars and training classes and currently serves as Supervisor and Network Trainer for Seton Security Officers and the Chief Instructor of the Martial Arts for Self-Defense program at Dell Children’s Medical Center. He is a former Chicago Peace Officer and Law Enforcement Trainer as well as the author of several Martial Arts publications, including The Philosophy of Instruction and The Secret of Survival.
